Conception

The series (then untitled) was offered to Fox in 2004 by David Shore, Paul Attanasio, and Attanasio’s business partner Katie Jacobs as a CSI-style medical detective program, a hospital whodunit in which the doctors looked into symptoms and their causes.

The fictional Princeton-Plainsboro Teaching Hospital (PPTH, not to be confused with the University Medical Center of Princeton at Plainsboro) is based on this teaching hospital. Attanasio was inspired to create a medical procedural drama by the physician Lisa Sanders’ “Diagnosis” column in The New York Times Magazine. Sanders is an attending physician at Yale-New Haven Hospital (YNHH).

Parks And Recreation (2009–15)

The first hour-long episode of Parks and Recreation’s sixth season aired on the NBC television network in the United States on September 26, 2013, and the season ended on April 24, 2014, also with an hour-long episode. It debuted in its brand-new 8:00 PM on Thursday time slot.

The series centers on “McNamara/Troy,” a cutting-edge, contentious plastic surgery center, and follows the personal and professional lives of its founders Dr. Sean McNamara and Dr. Christian Troy. It also includes elements of crime drama, black comedy, family drama, satire, and a psychological thriller (portrayed by Dylan Walsh and Julian McMahon, respectively).
