PM Modi’s childhood

PM Modi was born on September 17, 1950 in Vadnagar, Gujarat. The full name of Narendra Modi is Narendra Damodar Das Modi. He was born to Damodardas Moolchand Modi and Hiraben. PM Modi’s early education took place at Bhagwatcharya Narayanacharya School in Vadnagar.

Since childhood, he was very fond of acting, debate competitions and plays, being a part of which he has won many awards. PM Modi was also a part of NCC cadet during his school education. After this, PM Narendra Modi also did a 3-month course related to management and public relations in America.

‘Chaiwala Prime Minister’s Story’

PM Modi’s father had a tea stall at Vadnagar railway station, where Modi also used to go to help his father. For this reason, even today people call him Chaiwala Prime Minister. During this time, he served tea to the Indian soldiers passing through the station during the Indo-Pak war in 1965 and he had decided that when he grows up, he will become a part of the Indian Army to serve the country.

PM Modi was the third among six children of his parents. His parents have passed away and he has four brothers and one sister. The names of his brothers are Soma Modi, Amrit Modi, Prahlad Modi, Pankaj Modi, who are handling their respective businesses. His sister’s name is Vasantiben Hasmukhlal Modi. PM Modi got married at the age of 18, but after a few years he left his home. Since then he remains separated from his family.

On the occasion of Diwali in 1958, Laxman Rao Inamdar, a preacher of Gujarat province, administered the oath of child volunteer to him and after this he gradually became an active member of the Sangh. In his early days, PM Modi did not know how to ride a scooter, so during that time he used to roam with BJP leader and former Chief Minister of the state Shankar Singh Vaghela.

After this, he started getting many big responsibilities in the party. After this, in 1988-89, PM Modi got the responsibility of General Secretary in Gujarat BJP. In 1995, PM Modi was made the National Secretary of BJP for his activism and hard work.

Chief Minister appointed in 2001

There was a lot of devastation after the massive earthquake that hit Gujarat in 2001. Due to negligence, the then CM Keshubhai Patel resigned from his post. After this Narendra Modi was sent from Delhi to Gujarat and became the Chief Minister of Gujarat for the first time. After this, he held this post for four consecutive years. In the year 2012, Narendra Modi started being promoted as the PM face.

Lok Sabha elections were organized in the year 2014. During this period, NDA chose Narendra Modi as the PM face. The election of 2014 was a record for the Bharatiya Janata Party, because for the first time it got majority from a non-Congress government, during which PM Modi, under the leadership of Bharatiya Janata Party, got 282 seats. After this, during the Lok Sabha elections held in 2019, PM Modi once again created history and took oath as the PM.

  • Awarded the Grand Cross of the Legion of Honor, the country’s highest award, by French President Macron in July 2023.
  • Awarded the Order of the Nile by Egypt in June, 2023.
  • In May 2023, he was awarded the Companion of the Order of Logohu by Papua New Guinea.
  • Was awarded Companion of the Order of Fiji in May.
  • PM Modi was awarded the Order of the Distinguished Rule of Nishan Izzuddin from Maldives in 2019.
  • In 2019, PM Narendra Modi was awarded the Order of St. Andrew of Russia.
  • In 2019, the PM was honored with the Order of Zayed Award by the UAE.
  • The Grand Collar of the State of Palestine Award has also been given in 2018.
  • The State Order of Ghazi Amir Amanullah Khan was awarded by Afghanistan in 2016 and the Order of Abdul Aziz Al Saud by Saudi Arabia in 2016.
