A24 has unveiled the initial trailer for Alex Garland’s action-packed epic “Civil War,” featuring a stellar cast including Kirsten Dunst, Wagner Moura, Cailee Spaeny, Stephen McKinley Henderson, Sonoya Mizuno, and Nick Offerman.
Set in the not-so-distant future, the film explores a United States embroiled in civil war, where government air strikes target civilians, and journalists face deadly consequences in the Capitol. Described as a “race to the White House in a near-future America balanced on the razor’s edge,” according to the official logline.
Directed and written by Garland, “Civil War” is a collaboration between A24, Gregory Goodman, and DNA’s Andrew Macdonald and Allon Reich. This marks a reunion for Garland and DNA, known for their work on “Ex Machina,” “Annihilation,” and “Men,” while Goodman brings his producing expertise from projects like “Three Kings,” “8 Mile,” “Captain Phillips,” and “22 July.”
