Shilpa Shetty’s Reaction: Shilpa Shetty’s husband, Raj Kundra, is venturing into the world of acting with his announced biopic, ‘UT69.’ The film’s trailer has already been released, providing a glimpse into his days in jail and the challenges he faced. During the film’s trailer launch event, Raj Kundra shared stories from his life and revealed how Shilpa reacted when he told her about his acting debut.
In a candid conversation, Raj Kundra explained Shilpa Shetty’s initial reaction. He said, “At first, she was a bit nervous, but later, she changed her mind and supported me.” Raj revealed that Shilpa initially thought the film might not materialize.

Raj went on to share an amusing anecdote about how he broke the news to Shilpa. He said, “When I informed Shilpa about the film, she was standing at a slight distance from me, and I didn’t want to approach her. I told her that I had the script and was waiting for her response. As I turned away, a flying slipper landed on my face. I believe she initially found the idea rather unusual, and perhaps thought the film wouldn’t come to fruition.”
Raj further explained that after discussing the script with director Shahnawaz Ali, he was able to convince Shilpa. When he narrated part of the script to her, she realized that it was not an indictment of the system but the story of an ordinary individual. Shilpa ultimately showed her full support and even asked Raj, ‘Will you do acting?’ Raj assured Shilpa that he would pursue acting because he had undergone some method acting while being incarcerated.
